Guangxi’s First! A Beiliu-based company introduces a high-precision, five-axis CNC machine from Japan’s Makino.
On the morning of March 24, the handover and commissioning ceremony for the Japanese Makino five-axis high-precision CNC machine was successfully held at Guangxi Hongchao Industrial Co., Ltd., located within the North Liu City Migrant Workers’ Entrepreneurship Park. This marks the first time that a Japanese Makino five-axis high-precision CNC machine has entered the industrial sector in Guangxi, filling a gap in the region’s market for vertical five-axis machining centers. Leaders from the North Liu City Bureau of Economy, Trade, and Science & Technology, Minle Town, and other relevant organizations, along with Chen Huaxin, Chairman of Guangxi Hongchao Industrial Co., Ltd., and Li Deling, Sales Director for Makino’s China region, attended the ceremony.

Guangxi Hongchao Industrial Co., Ltd. specializes in the manufacturing and processing of precision instruments both domestically and internationally, mold making and sales, retail and wholesale of hardware products, manufacturing and sales of plastic products, as well as import and export of goods. Machine tools—often referred to as “the mother machines of industry”—are essential for manufacturing machinery itself. To better meet the new challenges posed by large-scale automotive mold production, Guangxi Hongchao has actively invested capital in introducing more advanced, high-rigidity machine tools, thereby boosting the company’s production capacity. The newly introduced Japanese Makino V90S vertical five-axis machining center features a highly rigid, non-orthogonal rotary head design, which effectively minimizes spatial errors during five-axis machining. This significantly reduces the need for manual intervention during tool changes—a common issue in traditional large-mold manufacturing—and makes it possible to achieve reduced staffing requirements and even unmanned night-time machining. With the introduction of this machine tool, it is now possible to analyze and predict acceleration and deceleration patterns, ensuring high-quality machined surfaces and reducing the time required for subsequent polishing, thus shortening the overall mold delivery cycle.
Chen Huaxin, Chairman of Guangxi Hongchao Industrial Co., Ltd., said: “By purchasing this machine tool, we can increase the speed by at least 50% over our existing machines and improve precision by 80%.
